Rules & Regulations

LIBRARY RULES


The college Library has a rich stock of books. The Reading Room provides a large number of Indian & Foreign periodicals and daily newspapers in Punjabi, Hindi and English.
  1. Students may draw two books at a time
  2. Every student is supplied with a Library passbook, which is invariably stamped by the librarian every time a book is issued or returned.
  3. Loss of library Passbook must be immediately reported to the librarian and a duplicate Passbook can be issued against payment of Rs.100/- only
  4. Passbook is not transferable. The student will be held personally responsible for the books issued on her original/duplicate Passbook.
  5. Any Student found guilty of misusing her or any other student’s original/duplicate Passbook will be liable to disciplinary action
  6. Students can borrow books for themselves and not for any other person.
  7. A borrowed book may ordinary be retained for a period of 14 days only.
  8. An issued book may be recalled at any time at the discretion of the Librarian.
  9. A library fine of Rs1/ per day per volume shall be charged for the book returned after the due date.
  10. Any borrower, who loses, defaces or otherwise mutilates a book, journal or paper by tearing or removing pages or otherwise shall have to replace it or pay for its replacement. In case the book is out of a set and is not available separately she shall have to bear the Cost of replacement of the entire set.
  11. The library will be closed once a year for stock-checking. All the borrowed from the library will have to be returned for this purpose.
PARKING

  1. Bicycles, Scooters, Motorcycles and mopeds are to be parked in the college cycle/scooter stand only. Car parking by the students in campus is allowed with the prior permission of the Principal. The college authorities will not be responsible for any loss if these are kept unlocked or otherwise outside the cycle stand or documents are not as per the Indian Motor Vehicle Act then no claim for compensation will be entertained.
  2. The college will not be responsible for any loss, damage of the vehicle and accessories parked in the stand.
  3. The deputed vehicles will be returned only after proper verification and witness.
LEAVE RULES
(Applications for leave will always be made on the prescribed from obtainable from the college office.)
  1. Leaves must be secured personally before it is availed of, except in case of illness or emergency when the leave application should be got sanctioned immediately on return to college.
  2. In case of long illness, leave application should be supported by a Medical Certificate.
  3. In the matter of Gazetted Holidays, the college follows the Punjab University Calendar/Gazetted notification only.
BUS PASSES
(Facility only for students of Samrala city) The students who intend to travel by bus are advised to get bus pass issued from the transport authorities well in time, either directly or through college office. They will have to deposit two passport size copies of photograph at the time of admission.

COLLEGE UNIFORM
For all students the college has prescribed white shirt, white salwar and dupatta, for summer and Black Cardigan (in winter only) as the college uniform. The wearing of it shall compulsory on all Monday & Fridays and on special occasions. Defaulters may be punistand.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Every student should look up the Notice Board Daily.
  2. The students should cultivate the queue habit. They should not crowd near the library, the Staff Room and the Administrative Block.
  3. Riding in front of the Administrative block and Class Rooms is strictly prohibited.
  4. Students are not allowed to make unauthorized collection in the name of the college from the college student/public. Disciplinary /legal action can be taken against those found guilty.
  5. All notices on the Notice Board that do not bear the signatures of the Principal, Teacher in charge or office Superintendent have no validity. No body is permitted to put up any poster or notice of his/her own in the campus.
  6. No Society, Club or Association will be recognized or allowed to function without the approval of the Principal.
  7. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if her explanation is not found satisfactory the authority would expel her from the institution.
